You and your refer to the adult parent, caregiver, guardian, or account holder using Mebu.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use Mebu.
Information We Collect
We collect only the data necessary to provide safe, personalized, and reliable services.
Account Information
- Parent or caregiver name.
- Email address and login credentials.
- Baby's due date or birth date (used for age-appropriate insights).
Health & Wellness Data (User-Provided)
- Feeding, sleep, growth, diaper, and symptom logs.
- Medication and vaccination records entered by you.
- Doctor visit notes, uploaded prescriptions, summaries, and optional transcripts.
- Photos, audio, or other files that you choose to upload or record within Mebu.
All such data is entered voluntarily and remains under your control.
Usage & Technical Data
- Device type, operating system, and app version.
- App interactions and feature usage, which may be processed in account-linked, aggregated, or de-identified form depending on the feature.
- Website interaction data such as pages viewed, referral source, app store clicks, browser type, approximate region, IP address, and user agent.
We do not collect precise location data or access contacts, photos, or microphones without explicit user action.
Where Information Comes From
We collect information from the following sources:
- Information you provide directly, such as account details, baby profile details, logs, notes, prescriptions, and support messages.
- Information generated when you use Mebu, such as reminders, summaries, saved preferences, feature usage, and technical logs.
- Website and marketing interactions, such as page views, referral source, campaign parameters, and app store or play store clicks.
- Third-party services you choose to use, such as app stores, payment providers, analytics tools, or other integrations, subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
We do not collect information from healthcare professionals, hospitals, or third-party medical systems unless you authorize or provide that information through Mebu.

No Data Selling
Export by Request
- You own your data.
- Mebu does not sell, rent, or trade your personal or health data to advertisers or data brokers.
- You may request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your personal data.
- You may withdraw consent for optional processing. Some features may stop working if the information needed to provide them is removed or disabled.
- You may request full account deletion at any time through app settings where available or by contacting us.
Upon deletion, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days, unless retention is legally required.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.
This includes the use of standard security practices such as encrypted connections, access controls, and internal safeguards appropriate for a consumer health application.

On our website and marketing pages, we may use tools such as Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, and Meta Conversions API to understand page performance, measure campaign effectiveness, and track actions such as visits to key pages or clicks to app store links.
These tools may process limited technical and interaction data such as page URL, event name, event ID, referral source, browser details, IP address, user agent, and Meta browser cookies such as _fbp or _fbc where available. We do not send your baby data, health logs, prescriptions, transcripts, or doctor notes to advertising platforms for targeting.

How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal or health data. We may share limited information only when needed to operate Mebu, comply with law, or provide services you request.

- App stores and payment processors, where needed for subscriptions, purchases, renewals, cancellations, and refunds.
- Analytics and attribution providers, for limited website and marketing event measurement as described in Cookies & Tracking.
- Healthcare professionals or caregivers, only when you choose to share information with them or ask us to support that sharing.
- Legal, regulatory, or safety reasons, where required by law or necessary to protect users, Mebu, or others from fraud, abuse, security threats, or legal claims.
International Processing
Some service providers may process or store information outside India. Where this happens, we use reasonable safeguards and require providers to protect the information they process for us.
Aggregated or De-Identified Data

The content, tools, reminders, and insights provided are for educational and informational purposes only and are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Healthcare Professional Testimonials — Disclosure & Policy
This policy applies to video or written testimonials by registered medical professionals featured on the Mebu website or marketing materials.
Nature of the Testimonials
All healthcare professionals featured on Mebu have shared their opinions voluntarily and independently, based on their personal clinical observations. These statements represent individual professional perspectives and are not collective guidance from any medical body, hospital, or institution.
Featured doctors are registered practitioners under the National Medical Commission Act, 2020 (formerly Indian Medical Council Act, 1956).
Compliance with IMC / NMC Ethics Regulations
In accordance with the Indian Medical Council (Professional Conduct, Etiquette and Ethics) Regulations, 2002, Regulation 6.1 — no testimonial featured on Mebu constitutes an advertisement for any doctor's personal practice. Doctors do not receive patient referrals, commercial fees, or any quid-pro-quo arrangement through their participation.
No featured statement makes a claim of guaranteed cure, treatment, or diagnostic capability attributable to Mebu, in compliance with the Drug and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act, 1954.
Consumer Protection Compliance
In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and applicable ASCI (Advertising Standards Council of India) Guidelines:
- All testimonials are genuine and reflect the doctor's own experience and views.
- No testimonial has been fabricated, unduly edited, or presented out of context.
- Mebu does not imply that results experienced by any doctor's patients are typical or guaranteed for all users.
Not Medical Advice
Opinions shared by featured healthcare professionals are informational in nature and do not constitute personalised medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations for any individual user. Users should always consult their own qualified healthcare provider for personal medical decisions.
No Commercial Endorsement Fee
Featured doctors have not been paid an endorsement fee for their testimonials. Any association between a featured doctor and Mebu (e.g., advisory role) is separately disclosed where applicable.
Right to Withdraw
Any featured healthcare professional may request removal of their testimonial at any time by contacting us at support@mebu.in. Removal will be completed within 7 business days.

This policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, including but not limited to:

Children's Privacy
Mebu is intended for adult parents and caregivers (18+).
- We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children or minors.
- Infant data is entered and controlled entirely by the parent or legal guardian.
- Parents and lawful guardians are responsible for deciding what child-related information they provide to Mebu.
If you believe a child's information has been collected improperly, please contact us immediately.
Legal & Regulatory Compliance
Mebu is designed to operate in accordance with applicable Indian data protection and information technology laws.
We process personal data based on user consent, legitimate uses permitted by applicable law, and only for the purposes described in this policy.
International Users
If you access Mebu from outside India, you do so at your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.
Data Retention
We retain your data only while your account is active, while needed to provide Mebu, or as required by law. Deleted accounts are purged within 30 days unless retention is legally required, needed for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, security, or accounting records.

The Mebu name, logo, app design, and software are owned by Mebu HealthCare Private Limited.

Terms of Use
Subscription Terms
Mebu offers optional premium subscription plans:
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- You can manage and cancel your subscription in your device's Account Settings.
- Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited upon subscription purchase.
- Refunds, billing issues, and subscription changes are handled according to the policies of the applicable app store or payment provider.
Payment
Payment may be charged through your Apple ID, Google Play account, or another payment method shown at the time of purchase.
Cancellation
To cancel your subscription:
iOS: Go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on your iOS device.
Android: Open Google Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions.
By using Mebu, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. We may update these terms periodically, and continued use constitutes acceptance of any changes.
